■ A Pair of Eyes in Ruthless Time
A name
germinates here in my arid heart
and I am renovating slowly
into a fertile green forest area
Waterfalls are erupting
from every pore of my bulk
as my whole existence
is overflowing form inside
A face
rises in east with the sunrise
and fragrance of life
assimilates me
In this ruthless afternoon of my age
When cuts don’t cut the bullhead of time
I miss a pair of eyes
and starts singing the song of spring
That name, that face
outs nowhere
illuminate inside me
unhurried like eternal light
unhurried like eternal light
(From the collection 'Tumahari Buni Huie Prarathna')
■ Your Woven Prayer
From the withered tree of my laughter
the leaves that are twinkling today
their roots amble
inside my existence in you
in the sinking sky of my eyes
the butterflies that have started humming
their breaths are my breaths
that flowing in your palm
Listen mine stream water
the destinations and paths
that are lost in the ravines of defeat, despair and breakdown
knocks my feet’s shackles
that's your prayer woven for me
(From the collection 'Tumahari Buni Hue Prarthna')
■ Behind all this falsehood
Behind all this falsehood
lines of two soft hands work
What am I! What is here for me!!
somewhere here on the edge of the earth
there is a lamp burning for me
the world doesn't know
but his face never leaves my mind's eye
Give him contentment
for whole life
blessed water like nectar drop
arises from my part’s request
all for him
What am I! What is mine!!
everything relates to him
it’s only through him
my life enlightens
amidst the storms of sorrows ‘n’ pain
(From the collection 'Tumahari Buni Huie Prarthna')
■ Missing You
By sitting on the
entrance of the hottest months
I’m missing you
and the paths on which you quarters
become alive
That mountain, that forest, that river
in whose company
your laugh spring out like drizzle
comes to me, one by one
While fluttering hand fan
wiping sweat from the forehead
I'm missing you
and that queen of seasons
who spreads spring
inside my heart’s autumn
comes to me
from the captivity of your breathing
(From the collection 'Chattees Janon Wala Ghar')
■ Presence in Absence
In these days of your absence
I am feeling
your presence
your presence
in a new way
the way
a farmer differentiates
soil, air, water and sunlight
immersed inside the ripened crop
Soil, air, water and sunshine of yourself
immersed in me
and the crop of my life
is ripening because of you
(From the collection 'Chattes Janon Wala Ghar')
